New this month, without editing anything

A “New” shelf that nobody has to maintain. Books should appear when they are added and disappear a month later.

The list

In the app this list is called New to the imprint.

What it says

Take every Book. Keep the ones where Added on is within the last 30 days. Sort by Added on, newest first. Keep the first 12.

On the storefront

The condition is evaluated against the clock each time the list is refreshed, so a book that crosses the 30-day line drops out at the nightly sweep even though nothing about it changed. The theme reads shop.metafields.lists.new-to-the-imprint.value like any other store-wide list.

In your store

Anything with a date of arrival: new stockists, this season’s recipes, recently updated guides. The matching operators are is within the next … days, is in the past and is in the future.
