Examples

Every list on this page runs on Four Mile Books, the test store the app is built against. Each example gives the problem, the list as it looks in the editor, what it says in plain English, where it renders, and how the same shape applies to your own content.

The store

Four Mile Books is a classics imprint with 328 books and these metaobject types. Replace the fields with your own; the shape of each list is what carries over.

TypeFields
Booktitle, author (reference), series (reference), series order, genres (list of references), first published, pages, blurb, featured, added on, product, cover

Awardname, year, book
Reading listname, description, books (products), collections, curated on
Staff pickstaff name, month, book, note

Every book is also a product, linked from the book’s product field, and each product carries a custom.book metafield pointing back at its book. The genres are collections too.

The examples

The first ten are store-wide lists, from a single flag to a random sort. Then relationships and groups. Then the lists that are written per product, per collection or per entry.
